Like Junior Certificate English, timing is of utmost importance in this exam. Ensure that you complete all questions well rather than complete most questions perfectly. Each developed point you make is usually worth 2 marks. You should use the marks allocated in a question as a way of telling how many valid points you should make (Total marks/2)

Exam Layout?
– 2.5 hours with 6 Questions (There is a choice in question 6). 25 minutes on each question is recommended allowing for 10 minutes at the end of the exam to read over your answers.
– Question 1 is a picture question
– Question 2 is a documents question
– Question 3 is twenty short questions
– Question 4 is a people in history question
– Question 5 and 6 are long questions
