French is by far the most popular foreign language taken at Leaving cert. Building a large vocabulary of words is a key to achieving a good grade. The oral exam is also really important, so it’s worth practicing speaking and thinking in French aloud as often as possible.

It’s also important to remember to prepare for the listening section of the exam as may students forget the importance of this section.
